St. Peter’s Church Prayer
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, we beseech thee to behold us as we kneel this morning before thy throne of grace.1 We give thee thanks; we glorify thee for all thy blessings that we have received from our birth to this day. In the name of Jesus, kindly accept our thanks and our gratitude for waking up this morning sound and healthy, kindly accept our thanks and gratitude.
We beseech thee, dear Lord, that in your infinite mercies to grant us remission of all our sins and not to visit the transgression of our forefathers on us.
As we leave our home this morning in perseverance of our daily choices, we beseech thee to be our guide so that we do not fall into any kind of danger. Do not forsake us, oh Lord, and neither let the devil have power over us.
Give us the grace to constantly, under your loving protection, to teach us the way to know how to show our gratitude to you.
- We humbly pray to you to bless our home. Guide our children in their footsteps onward through life’s journey to that they may grow in the knowledge and fear of God.
- Teach us thy ways, oh Lord, so that we might learn to walk in the path of righteousness. Bless our remaining days O Lord so that they may be good for us. Grant us the honesty of mind to see ourselves as we are, the vision to see ourselves as we should be and the courage to change and realize ourselves in total submission to You.
- Receive our supplications and prayers which we offer before thee, that every member of our own family in his or her vocation may truly serve thee through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
